How it works
- Tell Sofia about your song and your wedding. Venue, floor, dress, how you feel about dancing in front of people. Message on WhatsApp or use the form.
- First lesson: your dance takes shape. Sofia listens to the song with you, proposes a style (a slow waltz, a rumba, a gentle swing, or a mix) and you learn the first walk-on and the first figures.
- Lessons 2 to 5: the routine. Entrance, two or three figures that look good and feel safe, a moment that is yours (a dip, a turn, a lift if you want one), and the ending.
- Last lesson: dress rehearsal. With the shoes, if possible with a piece of the dress, on a floor the size of your venue's.
Where
Lessons take place in Cork city at Studio Twelve, a rented studio in the city centre (ask Sofia about the studio rent). Ask Sofia about other places in East Cork.
Price
€50 per one-hour private lesson for the couple, or a package of 5 lessons at €225 (€45 per lesson). Paid by Revolut or cash. The first consultation on WhatsApp is free.
"We can't dance at all." Good.
Most couples who ask about a first dance have never danced together. The dance is built on what you can do in the time you have, not on what a show dancer would do. A first dance that is simple, calm and in time with the music looks better than an ambitious one that is rushed.
